More Than a Marketing Site: A Functional Engine

This project was a turning point for me in how I view client-designer collaboration. While most meetings were dense, reviewing every technical step of the build, I consistently walked away with a clearer sense of alignment. My goal was to unify the dual-brand identity of Amigos/Kings Classic while prioritizing high-value actions like "Order Now", locations, and mystery shopper survey.

Navigating Logic Complexity and Feedback Loops

The Mystery Shopper system was the heaviest lift of the project, and I initially underestimated the depth of conditional logic required. Beyond the technical build, a significant challenge was managing stakeholder feedback; while real-time input from the lead was invaluable, asynchronous feedback from other stakeholders often created friction, proving that for application-style builds, real-time alignment is a requirement for staying on schedule.

Technical Growth & Systems Thinking

Moving beyond site-building into engineering.

Data-Backed Optimization.

We implemented a deep-dive GA4 and GTM strategy to track Mystery Shopper submissions and ordering intent, ensuring every design choice was backed by actual user behavior.

The "App-Inside-a-Site" Approach.

engineered the Mystery Shopper engine from the ground up, managing everything from schema errors to gated content visibility and automated rejection flows.

Platform Scalability.

This project exposed the ceiling of no-code tools. I learned to navigate Webflow’s "you need to do x to achieve y" workarounds, sparking a strategic internal conversation about when to bring in dedicated developers for larger contracts.

Complex Logic Delivered.
Successfully built a location-based JavaScript architecture to detect users and route data correctly across dozens of statewide dealerships.
Conversion Tracking.
Integrated full event tracking for high-intent actions, including Mystery Shopper submissions, "Order Now" clicks, and app downloads.
System Scalability.
Developed a modular CMS structure that allows for rotating daily deals and new location additions without technical debt.

This project stretched me from a designer to a systems thinker. It proved that while Webflow can support complex logic, high-performance scalability requires a strategic approach to architecture and real-time stakeholder alignment
